Primary SchoolsJAE’s work with Primary Schools has been very successful over the past 3 years and due to the excellent response we receive from both students and children to our Primary Project, BitterSweet, we are looking to visit more schools in 2006/7. “What I liked about the BitterSweet day was all the activities and stuff I learnt about how farmers are treated and what little amount of money they get. I also found out how they struggle to pay rent, food, medicine and education. I enjoyed it a lot! Thank you for coming and I hope you come back!” - Fadila Suliaman, aged 10, Devonshire Hall Primary School. |
Secondary SchoolsWorking with young people in senior schools in the past 3 years has been very rewarding for JAE, and we are looking forward to carrying out more Flight of Fashion projects in senior schools in 2006/7. We have found that the Flight of Fashion project brings out the best in students, where they have the chance to express justice issues through their favourite art form. “Excellent; very good ideas and put in a format that the pupils responded to brilliantly.” Teacher, Arch Bishop Tennison School | |
