Overview

The ‘BitterSweet’ project focuses on teaching children about Fairtrade and the issues surrounding the chocolate trade. The ‘BitterSweet’ team run interactive installations in your school where students can experience what it is like to be a Ghanaian cocoa farmer, be a board member of a successful chocolate company, and are challenged to keep a family housed, fed and watered on their wages by shopping at our Ghanaian market.

Morning Session:

The 4 installations the Bitter Sweet team create in your classrooms/school hall are:


Afternoon Session:

The BitterSweet Team run creative workshops* for the students, which range from:

  • Drama
  • Dance
  • Art

This 1 hour workshop is a basis for the students preparing a short piece to present what they have learnt from the day using their favourite way of creative expression!

*All team members are highly trained and qualified in their particular artistic field.
