FOF: Schools OverviewFlight of Fashion (FOF) is a project that concentrates on the fashion industry and the injustices of the sweat shop trade. >>> |
The FOF team lead interactive installations, in which the young people can experience and learn about what it is like to be a sweatshop worker and learn about the unjust process of clothes production. To enforce what the students have learnt through the installations, the FOF team lead workshops, in which the students will work towards a presentation as part of a final fashion show through various art forms including, fashion design, music, debate, drama and dance. This is an opportunity for students to present what they have learnt and worked on during the day. The issue of trade is one of huge importance in our global society and unfair trade rules leave billions of people in crippling poverty while corporations and governments become richer. The Bitter Sweet and Flight of Fashion events aim to educate children and young people about the reality of trade and poverty and what they as consumers and citizens can do about it. |
